By Natasha Ishaq Then the skies themselves darkened When breezes of dusk fled past When all the while the Earth shook This was the night when the world was on fire Flames chased after one another As so many voices were burned right there and then The pages and thoughts of many crippled before so many eyes This was the night when the world was on fire That was when stories were shattered As a bonfire erupted like a volcano Letting out its eternal rage This was the night when the world was on fire Natasha is a ninth grader. She enjoys writing and performing poetry in her free time. She enjoys writing for the greater benefit of others.
